About Me

Joshua Donahue

Hello! Welcome to the blog friend. My name is Josh and I love God, my wife, my family, and even my animals. Oh yeah, I also love you as well! I didn’t always believe or trust in God/Jesus but He never gave up on me. He eventually won me over. I don’t want to go into too many details on this right now, but let’s just say when I was in my absolute worst state and unlovable form, He still loved me. He just wanted one of His lost children back. That’s what ultimately began to shift my way of thinking about Jesus.

Eventually, I became a born again Christian, Jesus believer and I’m thankful He never gave up on me. He chose me and drew me with His love to Jesus. He saw my true potential and who I was created to be before I even saw who I was created to be. The best part is I know He thinks the same good things about you as well. I’m just a normal Christian who has a passion for the Word of God and believes/trust in God/Jesus.

God wanted me to create a website where I can share some of the things that He has revealed to my heart. This is not my website, it’s His! I’m just relaying the message He has given me through it. My intention is with the hope of it blessing and helping you in some way. God tells us that freely we have received so freely give and that’s what I want to do. That’s why I want this blog to be a resource where I can give you what God has given me with no strings attached.

However, I’m asking if you decide to read one of these articles at least read with a sincere heart. Whatever you read on this website please take back to God in your alone time with Him and ask Him about His thoughts on the subject.

Don’t take what I say as the absolute truth but take what God says and His Word, aka the Bible as the absolute truth. Who better to explain it than the author of the Bible Himself.

My desire is to bless you and give you a resource from scripture that sparks an interest. I want this to be a place where you can come back and chow down on some of God’s truths that He has revealed to me! Then I want you to ask and seek God about it one on one and jump into the scripture yourself and see what He reveals to you on that subject. That’s why the Bible is there in the first place. To read it and have our relationship with God grow closer/stronger. God loves to talk and most likely you do too. So spark up that conversation with Him today!

My Beliefs

The Word of God

Open Bible With Red Ribbon On Table

I believe the Bible is the true written word of God. All scripture was divinely inspired and breathed upon by Him. The Word points to the way of righteousness according to God’s standard, which is through Jesus Christ. It reveals God’s love for the world. It should be the source for all doctrine, for reproof/conviction of sin, and also for correction.

  • 2 Timothy 3:15-17 (KJV) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.  16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
  • John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Who God Is

I believe there is only one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The creator of all things.

  • Ephesians 4:4-6 (KJV) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
  • John 4:23-26 (KJV)  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  25  The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.  26  Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
  • John 10:30 (KJV) I and my Father are one.
  • 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
  • Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
  • John 4:24 (KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
  • Colossians 1:15-17 (KJV) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Jesus

Jesus Statue With Arms Wide Open In The Midst Of Clouds

I believe Jesus is amazing. He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. I believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. I believe Jesus was also born of virgin birth and that He came in the flesh to fulfill the law as a man filled with the Holy Spirit so we could be saved. I believe in His sinless life and that He is the only atonement for sin which is through His death and shedding of His blood. I believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead and that He is raised to the right hand of the Father. I believe Jesus will come back in power and glory.

  • Revelation 1:8 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
  • John 1:1-4 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2  The same was in the beginning with God.  3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
  • John 1:29 (KJV) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
  • Matthew 5:17-18 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
  • Hebrews 10:7-10 (KJV) Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.  8  Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;  9  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.  10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
  • Romans 8:3-4 (KJV) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
  • Acts 1:11 (KJV) Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
  • Acts 2:22-24 (KJV) Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  24  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
  • Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
  • Romans 8:34 (KJV) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
  • Hebrews 1:1-4 (KJV) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;  4  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
  • Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Salvation

Jesus Saves Cross Neon Light At Night

I believe everyone has sinned and fallen short. The only person who never sinned is Jesus Christ. Since we have all missed the mark and transgressed God’s law it means we all are in need of a savior. I believe you can’t be saved by your own works of the law. The only way for salvation and to take dominion over sin is by being born again, through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. This comes by repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ. I believe all will be judged one way or another. The believer will be judged as righteous because Jesus took their judgment for their sins at the cross. Unbelievers who reject Jesus will have no atonement for their sins and judgment will happen on that day. Furthermore, believers are called righteous and spend eternal life with God in the new heaven and new earth. On the other hand, the unbelievers are called unrighteous and shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. Those not found written in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire.

  • Romans 3:21-26 (KJV) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:  23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  26  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
  • Galatians 2:16 (KJV) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
  • Acts 4:12 (KJV) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 (KJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
  • Ephesians 1:7 (KJV) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
  • Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
  • 1 Peter 1:7-9 (KJV)  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  9  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
  • Titus 3:4-7 (KJV) But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,  5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  6  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;  7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:3-10 (KJV)  We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;   So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:  5  Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:  6  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;  7  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,  8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:  9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;  10  When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
  • Revelation 20:11-15 (KJV) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
  • Revelation 21:1 (KJV)  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Born Again

I believe once we become born again that old things/old man pass away and all things become new in Christ Jesus. Jesus said if any come after him, let them deny themself, pick up their cross, and follow him. We deny and no longer live life according to the old man before Christ. We live life now according to the new man in Christ Jesus! I believe God loves us and wants to hang out with us in our alone time just like how best friends do. I believe God wants such a personal relationship with us that he can tell us what’s on his heart and vice versa. I believe God has called us to be part of the assembly so we can grow, encourage, provoke each other to love and be in unity with our brothers/sisters in Christ. I believe we now have the mind of Christ and He wants us to keep renewing the mind by His Word, His faith, the Holy Spirit, so we can prove the good, acceptable, perfect, will of God. I believe at the very moment of being born again God sets us up to live a life full of victory by the Holy Spirit living within us through Jesus Christ. I believe God now wants us to walk in a supernatural lifestyle by trusting Jesus/God. I believe that all believers now have the ministry of reconciliation. We are called to bring the Kingdom of God wherever we go, by sharing the good news about Jesus, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out devils and setting the captives free through the name of Jesus. Freely we have received from God so freely we should give to others. Remember in earth as it is in heaven.

  • Matthew 16:24-26 (KJV)  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.  26  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
  • John 15:15 (KJV) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
  • Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  20  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
  • 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

  • 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 (KJV) Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.  15  For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:  16  To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?  17  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Amen.
  • John 14:12-14 (KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it
  • 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 (KJV) Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
  • Galatians 2:20 (KJV)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
