God’s Word Won’t Return to Him Void. It’s Not What You Think.

Bible Open on Wooden Table

When I heard about God’s word not returning to Him void but that it will accomplish that which He pleases, I thought He was referring to His promises towards us. This is absolutely true, however, one day God revealed this same statement to me from a different perspective I never saw before.

So what exactly did God reveal about His word not returning to Him void but that it shall accomplish that which He pleases, and it will prosper where He sent it in Isaiah 55:11? The Bible says Jesus is the Word made flesh. Therefore Jesus is the spoken Word of God sent, that couldn’t return to the Father void. Since Jesus returned and is now at the right hand of the Father we know He prospered/accomplished what He was sent for.

I love how God is able to reveal the Bible in ways we never previously saw before. That being said let’s take a more in-depth look at this perspective from God’s viewpoint. Also, other truths in relation to God’s Word not returning to Him void.

Jesus Is The Word Sent That Won’t Return Void

Open Bible With Cross Of Jesus Crucified

Lets first take a look at this statement which is made in Isaiah.

  • Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

What intrigues me about this verse is I missed such a simple but true revelation. Thank God the Holy Spirit teaches us. I was very excited when God showed me this perspective on it.

In the first chapter of John, God explains to us about the Word which became flesh and dwelt amongst us.

  • John 1:1-2 (KJV)  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2  The same was in the beginning with God.
  • John 1:14 (KJV)  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word isn’t Just the Bible or written word. The Word is also the literal person of Jesus Christ and vice versa.

You see Jesus was from the very beginning. He is considered God and the Son of man. He is also the word of God. This is a unique truth God tells us about the Word.

Some people think differently when they hear about words. Some people don’t associate or believe a word as an actual person. However, they do associate words with sounds or forms of communication.

It’s pretty safe to say that people typically express who they are through what they speak. The Bible states that words come from what people believe in their heart and also can produce life or death. This truth doesn’t just apply to us but it also applies to God or He would’t have told us.

  • Luke 6:45 (KJV)  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
  • Proverbs 18:20-21 (KJV)  A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouthand with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.  21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
  • John 8:42-43 (KJV)  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.  43  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

So words come from the heart and bring’s forth things that correspond with the heart. Words are a part of who we are and what we believe. We must remember God speaks about words in a different light than the world thinks about words.

In other words, Jesus is the good treasure of God which was sent forth to bring good and life.

As we read below keep in mind that God also can’t lie and can only speak the truth and life. Jesus is not only the Word made flesh but also the truth.

  • Titus 1:2 (KJV)  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
  • John 14:6 (KJV)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

God spoke the truth and sent His Word, Jesus to us. His Word/Jesus is considered life to those who receive it. On the contrary, the devil also speaks his word and that produces death.

Scriptures That Help Explain Isaiah And Why The Word AKA Jesus Sent

So why was God’s Word aka Jesus sent? God said His Word won’t return to Him void but it will accomplish what it was sent for. This implies Jesus was sent for a purpose. You see Jesus could not return back to the Father until He accomplished the task He was sent for. Let’s expound on what Isaiah was referring to.

  • Isaiah 55:10-13 (KJV)  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  12  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  13  Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

It may not look like much at first glance but there are a lot of things going on here. He makes reference to something natural so we can understand something spiritual.

He begins by saying as the rain/snow coming down from heaven and doesn’t return. However, the purpose of the rain/snow is to water the earth and causes it to bring forth bud or in other words life. This gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

He mentions the seed/sower in Isaiah we should see what Jesus says about the seed/sower in other verses as well. So who is the sower? What is the seed here?

This is what Jesus translates the sower/seed in the New Testament. Here He is speaking about the same parable in both Mark and Luke.

  • Luke 8:11 (KJV)  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
  • Mark 4:13-14 (KJV)  And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?  14  The sower soweth the word.

I’m not going over this particular parable here in this article. But in a nutshell, it talks about the seed being the Word of God, which is Jesus. The sower is also considered God and in this parable, different people react different ways to The Word (Jesus).

Jesus also translates the parable of the weeds/tares in Matthew which gives us more insight about the sower and seeds.

  • Matthew 13:37-39 (KJV)  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Jesus says here that the Son of man (Also Jesus) sowed good seed in the world. The good seed represents children of the kingdom and seeds can only produce after its own kind. (See Genesis 1:11-12)

People can only reproduce after the seed inside them. So God sent Jesus into the world to sow His seed in us. With His seed in us, we can now walk the way Jesus walked. We can walk now the way God intended for us in this life. In other words, this happens when we become born again or children of the kingdom through Jesus. (Want to read more about this parable? Click here!)

Before we are born again we all are born with the seed of the devil. In other words the sin nature.

  • Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV)  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:  15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Now that we have covered some groundwork with the scriptures let’s go back to Isaiah.

In other words, Jesus came down from heaven and can’t return to the Father without fulfilling the purpose He was sent for. Jesus is the sower of good seed in the earth. He is also the bread of life which came down from heaven to all who choose to eat. By doing this the whole earth will benefit.

People who choose to eat the bread of life will receive Jesus and His seed. That’s why God says a man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word (Jesus) that comes from the mouth of God.

  • Matthew 4:4 (KJV)  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
  • John 6:33-40 (KJV)  For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.  34  Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.  35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.  36  But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.  37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.  38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.  39  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.  40  And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
  • John 6:50-51 (KJV)  This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.  51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
  • John 6:53-58 (KJV)  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  54  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  55  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  56  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.  57  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.  58  This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Again seed can only reproduce after its own kind. (See Genesis 1:11-12) God knew this from the beginning that’s why Jesus was crucified from the foundation of the world.

  • Revelation 13:8-9 (KJV)  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  9  If any man have an ear, let him hear.
  • 1 Peter 1:19-21 (KJV)  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,  21  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
  • Ephesians 1:4-5 (KJV)  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

God set a plan in place before the foundation of the world. That involves Jesus being sent to give His life for us to remove our sin. This means when we receive Jesus, we are forgiven of our sins and now blameless in God’s eyes. God sees us now through the finished work of Christ and we are considered sons just like Jesus.

Another way this could be said is like this. Every man is born with a corruptible seed (sin-nature). However, when man believes and receives God’s Word (Jesus) they receive the incorruptible seed which is Jesus. God replaces the sin nature with the very same nature Jesus had and they receive eternal life and take after Jesus’s seed.

Here are some more scriptures which reference the main reason Jesus was the Word sent from the Father. He came to save us from death and give us life. Freely we have received freely we give.

  • John 5:24 (KJV)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 17:14-21 (KJV)  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  18  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19  And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  21  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Above it states “the truth”. Truth is the person of Jesus Christ and also the words that He speaks.

  • John 14:6 (KJV)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Knowing this let’s read that again and translate.

  • John 17:14-21 (KJV)  I have given them Myself (Jesus); and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17  Sanctify them through thy truth: I am (Jesus) the truth.  18  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19  And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word about me (Jesus);  21  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

This is one of the main reasons Jesus came. To provide the world with the atonement of sins and everlasting life to all those who believe and call on His name. They become part of His family and are now children of the kingdom.

Another Reason Jesus (The Word) Was Sent

Another reason why God sent His Word is for His children to walk the earth the very same way He walked on earth. We are called to destroy the works of the devil wherever we go. What’s that look like? We are called to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out devils. Freely we received and freely we should give. (See Matthew Chapter 10 and Luke Chapter 10)

God wants people to believe in His children’s Word about the gospel of Jesus so they can be saved as well.

We are called to share the Gospel and give the kingdom of God to the world. We are called to do the same works as Jesus when He was on the earth and greater works.

Let’s go back to Isaiah and see how this relates.

Scripture also states Jesus Is the prince of peace. Jesus is peace. As the children of God become manifest and we are lead forth by Jesus. Then the world and all creation will begin to reap the benefits of what Jesus already accomplished.

  • Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
  • Colossians 1:25-29 (KJV)  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;  26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:  29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
  • Romans 8:19-22 (ISV)  For the creation is eagerly awaiting the revelation of God’s children,  20  because the creation has become subject to futility, though not by anything it did. The one who subjected it did so in the certainty  21  that the creation itself would also be set free from corrupting bondage in order to share the glorious freedom of God’s children.  22  For we know that all the rest of creation has been groaning with the pains of childbirth up to the present time.

All creation is waiting for the children of God to be manifest. Christ is in us and wants to manifest Himself through us to everyone all around us. Even to creation itself.

What God Tells Us Won't Come Back Void To Him Either

Now that we realize the main meaning of God’s word not returning to Him void. We can go onto the secondary meaning. The reason I say this is secondary is that without Jesus being sent and doing what He was sent for. The rest means nothing or isn’t possible. That’s the truth.

Jesus came to accomplished everything pertaining to true life and Godliness for us. Now we can take a look at some of these promises that have been giving to us through Him and how it won’t return back to God void.

  • 2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV)  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
  • Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God clearly has given us promises and these promises come through Jesus Christ.

  • 2 Corinthians 1:19-20 (KJV)  For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.  20  For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

When we become born again through Jesus Christ He not only promises salvation and eternal life for us but also many other things. He wants us to receive all He paid for more than we want it. All that He paid for and promised us can’t return void but it will accomplish what He said. So since God can’t lie and only speaks the truth it should be easy to trust Him.

  • Numbers 23:19 (KJV)  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
  • Hebrews 6:17-20 (KJV)  Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:  18  That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:  19  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;  20  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

God didn’t make these things complicated. He made it simple through Jesus. Each and every promise isn’t possible without Jesus doing the work. So Jesus did the hard part. Now all He wants us to do is believe and Jesus even helps us with that.

  • Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  • Romans 12:3 (KJV)  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
  • Acts 3:16 (KJV)  And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

God wants to help us receive all He has accomplished for us through His son Jesus. So what are some of these promises?

These are just some promises given through Jesus Christ. There are even more promises that Jesus accomplished for us that’s throughout scripture so do not be limited to what is mentioned above.

Basically, I wanted to give some verses on some promises that God mentions so you can be blessed. This is what His word says and since He can’t lie we should trust Him so these can be manifested not only in our lives but others all around us.

Why Some Think His Promises Can Come Back Void

Person In Water With Head Down Under Cloudy Sky

Let’s be real some people (even some believers) think God doesn’t do certain promises today. But why? Well, most likely they heard the Word but when the Word didn’t manifest the way they thought it should. Then they came to some other conclusion to help them with what they experienced.

There are only two types of situations where things don’t seem to happen or manifest for a “believer”.

  1. Their own unbelief.
    • Matthew 17:19-20 (KJV)  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
    • Luke 17:5-6 (KJV)  And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.  6  And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
    • Hebrews 3:12 (KJV)  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
    • Hebrews 3:18-19 (KJV)  And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?  19  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
    • Hebrews 4:6 (KJV)  Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
    • Hebrews 4:10-11 (KJV)  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.  11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
    • James 1:6-8 (KJV)  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  7  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.  8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
    • Matthew 21:22 (KJV)  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
      • When you believe, you receive.
  2. They didn’t ask God or they ask amiss. Amiss, as in asking God to do something He will not or can’t do. Also asking in a way God did not approve. Amiss could also mean praying to a false god thinking something will happen.
    • James 4:2-3 (ISV)  You want something but do not get it, so you commit murder. You covet something but cannot obtain it, so you quarrel and fight. You do not get things because you do not ask for them!  3  You ask for something but do not get it because you ask for it for the wrong reason—for your own pleasure.
    • John 15:7 (KJV)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
    • John 16:23-24 (KJV)  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.  24  Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
    • Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
    • Matthew 20:20-23 (KJV)  Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.  21  And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.  22  But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.  23  And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
    • Matthew 21:22 (KJV)  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
    • Mark 11:22 (KJV)  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
      • Notice it’s not having faith in other false gods or other sources.

As you can see above these are the two scenarios that some believers encounter. The problem is some believers don’t realize it’s because of one of these two reasons they are not seeing God’s promise manifest in their life. Let me give you an example.

I have encountered certain believers that have prayed for the sick but the person didn’t get healed. They then make certain statements such as “well it wasn’t God’s will for them to be healed.” Sometimes they say “The other person wasn’t in faith.” Another may say, “I tried multiple time but they never get healed. That’s just not my gifting”

Usually, when I hear these types of statements I ask the believer can you show me in scripture where it says that? Either they can’t show me any scriptures or they bring up a far fetched interpretation that is out of context. I then get the pleasure to talk to them about those verses they may have struggled with.

One of the things I love about Jesus is He is a straight shooter when it comes to the truth. He doesn’t compromise truth but He will help the person understand the truth.

Let me give you an example where Jesus didn’t compromise the truth. However, He demonstrated the answer and even told the disciples why it didn’t work for them.

  • Matthew 17:14-21 (KJV)  And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,  15  Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.  16  And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.  17  Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.  18  And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.  19  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

There is a valuable lesson to be learned here for all believers. Up until this point the disciples have been walking with Jesus and they have been healing the sick and casting out devils in the name of Jesus successfully. However this time it didn’t work.

What’s interesting is they didn’t come up with an excuse as to why it didn’t happen. They didn’t say “well maybe it wasn’t God’s will”. That wouldn’t make sense cause Jesus did it. However, they knew where to find the real answer why and that’s the Word aka Jesus. Jesus didn’t sugar coat it but He answered them truthfully and said the reason you couldn’t do it was because of your unbelief.

At this point, the disciples could have said: “you don’t know what you’re talking about we have faith!” They didn’t say that though or get offended. They didn’t make an excuse. They took what Jesus said to heart and continued with Him. They clearly got over that hurdle cause in the book of acts they were healing the sick and casting out demons.

The issue is if we make some sort of excuse then we will never address the real reason why the mountain didn’t move in the first place. Then things will continue to not happen. So always go back to scripture and trust His Word over whatever experience you may have had until your experience begins to line up with what His Word says. That’s how things begin to manifest in the kingdom through Jesus. It’s by faith in the messiah.

Jesus Will Help Us With Faith And Believing For His Promises Made To Us

Jesus Statue Holding A Sheep

Part of the good news is God will help us to believe Him and trust His Word. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Above I spoke about the boy possessed with a demon that the disciples had trouble casting out. However, Jesus did it easily.

What’s interesting is they were all in unbelief. Even the father of the child didn’t believe. Look at the father’s statement in another gospel.

  • Mark 9:21-24 (ISV)  Then Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” He said, “Since he was a child.  22  The spirit has often thrown him into fire and into water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have pity on us and help us!”  23  Jesus told him, “‘If you are able?’ Everything is possible for the person who believes!”  24  With tears flowing, the child’s father at once cried out, “I do believe! Help my unbelief!
  • Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The boy’s father wanted to have faith and help his son. He knew he was in a desperate situation and had no other options. Although no one here had faith to believe for this child there was still one that did have faith. His name is Jesus. Jesus used His faith to set the boy free. By doing so He not only sparked faith and hope for the father. He also did for the disciples as well by showing them what real faith looks like.

Thank God for Jesus and His Spirit helping us. Without Him, we would have no clue whats going on.

So as you can see there are two meanings about the word of God coming back to Him void. Whether it be the primary of Jesus being the Word sent and not returning to the Father void or the promises God has given to us. Either way, they can’t come back void & that’s the truth. We could continue talking more and more about this subject but for now, this is enough.

I hope this post has blessed you and has opened your eyes to a new reality that God wants to show you. Take it back to God and ask Him about it. See what other scriptures He may reveal to you on the same subject!
