The Devil Is Under Our Feet Through Jesus Christ!

Person Stepping On 900x506

Satan had no chance against the Lord Jesus Christ. The truth is Jesus already won and put the Devil underneath His feet. That being said, is the enemy under our feet as well?

The only way for the serpent, Satan, to be put under a person’s feet is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus came and bruised the Devil’s head underneath His feet! All things have been put in subjection under Jesus Christ’s feet. That being said, Jesus is considered the head of the body, and those who are born again through Him are considered the body of Christ. Knowing this Jesus Christ, who died because of our sins, was also raised for our justification. In doing so Jesus has put the Serpent underneath the born again believer’s feet as well.

  • Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV) And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
  • Psalms 8:6 (KJV) Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
  • Hebrews 2:8 (KJV) Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
  • Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
  • Ephesians 5:23 (KJV) For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
  • Romans 16:20 (KJV) And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
  • Romans 4:23-25 (KJV) Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

It’s amazing to know that Jesus defeated the Devil and stomped all over him. It gets even more exciting knowing that Jesus also put the Devil underneath the born again believers’ feet as well! Instead of letting the Devil ruin our day, we now get to ruin the Devil’s day by reminding him what Jesus Christ has done! That’s some good news! As we continue on we will go over Jesus putting Satan under His feet and under the children of God’s feet as well!

Jesus Put The Devil Under Foot

Cross On Rock With Sunlight 900x506

Most Christians have heard about the Devil being under the feet of Jesus. This is a very true statement, so how did God put the devil under His feet?

God put the devil under His feet through the Son Jesus Christ. Jesus who knew no sin was manifested to destroy the works of the devil by going to the cross, dying, and rising from the dead! In other words, by the offering and sacrifice of Jesus’s body and blood! By doing so Jesus put Satan under His feet, defeated death, and sin. God is a good Father and ultimately did this for us. Jesus bruised the serpent’s head underfoot by defeating Him every step of the way!

  • 1 John 3:8 (KJV) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
  • Genesis 3:15 (KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:25-27 (KJV) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
  • Hebrews 10:9-10 (KJV) Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
  • Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
  • Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
  • Revelation 1:18 (KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The truth is the devil took a big loss because of Jesus. Jesus not only defeated Satan for those who believe on Him but also humiliated the serpent underneath His feet. Jesus had a purpose coming to earth and that was to destroy the works of the devil. For this very reason, He manifested and took on the task at hand because He knew we needed help!

Again, Jesus came to destroy all the works of the devil! What exactly are some of those things Jesus came to destroy? Well, think of it like this what came into existence through the serpent’s lie in the garden? Sin, sickness, disease, death, etc.

Let’s look at some verses/promises in regards to sickness and disease for the born again believer in general.

  • Psalms 30:2-3 (KJV) O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
  • Psalms 103:2-5 (KJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
  • Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV) My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
  • Luke 5:31 (KJV) And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
  • Matthew 8:7 (KJV) And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
  • Matthew 15:30-31 (KJV) And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: 31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
  • Mark 6:54-56 (KJV) And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

One of the works that the devil introduced to this world was sickness and disease through sin. Jesus however, was manifested to destroy those very works. Jesus came to abolish sickness and disease. He came to give life and life more abundantly!

  • John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

You see, when the Word of God shows up, sickness and disease get destroyed. Jesus is the Word of God and when He shows up sickness was destroyed but people were healed. In some cities, they would hear Jesus is near or in the area and they would bring all of those who were afflicted with sickness and disease. Jesus would show up in love and heal them while putting that sickness underneath His feet! Wherever Jesus showed up the enemy was defeated and reminded of how his head would be bruised underfoot. He didn’t allow the enemy to gain any ground but rather, Jesus would just trample Satan every step of the way!

Jesus also came to destroy sin, the old carnal man of flesh, and death. The old carnal man of sin was born into this world through the fall a was born of corruptible seed. Jesus came to destroy that corruptible seed so they can be born again a new man in Christ freed from sin! Jesus came to remove the sin affecting them by destroying the body of sin and making all things brand new through Christ Jesus! In other words, Jesus came to also put sin underneath His feet!

  • 1 Corinthians 15:50 (KJV) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
  • Romans 6:5-7 (KJV) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
  • Psalms 103:12 (KJV) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
  • 1 Peter 1:23-25 (KJV) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 (KJV) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus knew the old man couldn’t inherit the Kingdom of God. That’s because the old man of sin was of the corruptible seed. So instead of trying to patch up the old, He simply destroyed it to create a brand new creature in Christ!. Jesus who knew no sin, became sin on our behalf. To clarify, on behalf of those who are born again through the Lord Jesus Christ. In doing so Jesus has given them His righteousness and removed/destroyed the sin which previously had them bound. Now they can go and be free in Christ! The old is now put underfoot and that’s some amazingly good news!

  • Ephesians 2:13-22 (KJV) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Notice Jesus came to break down or destroy the middle wall of the partition and abolished in the flesh the enmity. He reconciled back those who believe what He has done for them at the cross. Therefore, those who believe and are born again through Him are now considered a new man in Christ. Jesus has established and given them peace all while stepping on the serpent!

Jesus came to do the will of the Father and that led Him to the Cross. At the Cross Jesus openly spoiled principalities and powers. He triumphed and fulfilled the law and commandments!

Satan is defeated and has no hope! That is some good news for us but not for him! Jesus took back the keys of hell and of death while reminding Satan of his final destination of torment. Now those who are born again no longer need to fear sin, the devil, or death! Praise God!

Satan Is Under My Feet

Person Stomping 900x506

Jesus not only put the devil under His feet. What about Satan now being put under a born again believer’s feet and also how exactly to put the devil under your feet if you’re not born again?

There is only one way for the devil to be put under a person’s feet and that’s by being born again through the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the only way. Jesus already defeated Satan and put him under His feet. Now, when a person is born again Jesus is considered the head of the body, and those that are born again are considered part of the body of Christ. Therefore Satan is now underneath the body’s feet as well through Jesus Christ.

  • Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
  • Romans 10:9-13 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
  • Romans 16:20 (KJV) And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Again, Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. One of the main reasons Jesus came was to put the devil under born again believers feet for them. Jesus came and took care of the super difficult task and conquered sin. He is also considered the eldest brother to those who are born again. The way I look at it is like this, my older brother came to beat up the bully who was beating me up. Then after Jesus put the bully on the floor He let me go stomp on the enemy as well! To be clear, I’m talking about stomping on the serpent, Satan, the devil!

  • 1 John 3:8 (KJV) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
  • Romans 8:28-30 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
  • Hebrews 2:6-13 (KJV) But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
  • Luke 10:17-19 (KJV) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Thats some good news! Jesus defeated that serpent and then gave us power to walk all over that slithery snake! Jesus gave His brethren power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt them. The devil is defeated and put underneath the believer’s feet because of the Lord Jesus Christ so there is no longer a reason to fear the enemy for those who are born again!

Knowing all this don’t keep all the good news to yourself. Share it with another! Tell others what Jesus has done for you. As you go, walk in the power Jesus has given you by the Holy Spirit to stomp all over the enemy. Show and tell others about the kingdom of God! The Lord will be with you confirming His word with signs following!

  • Mark 16:14-20 (KJV) Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Be blessed in Jesus name!
